VICTORIA ARTISTRY
CONTEXT
Victoria Artistry, led by commission artist Ivy Ogoe, is a luxury brand specialising in intricate pencil drawings and continuous line art. The challenge was to create an identity that would reflect Ivy's refined artistic style while establishing a distinct identity from the well-known Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A).
Art Direction
The new logo design for Victoria Artistry merges the continuity of Ivy Ogoe’s line artwork with the luxury cues essential for a high-end brand. The wordmark is clean, elegant using the distinct "V" and "A" from the symbol. The symbol, meanwhile, employs gestalt theory, incorporating abstract shapes that at first glance appear as faces but also form the initials "VA."
The logo is modern yet timeless, using delicate line work to evoke sophistication while remaining distinct from the heavily classical associations of the V&A. By keeping the logo’s colour palette neutral with a touch of blush, the design feels luxurious without being overly bold.
Packaging: For the packaging, abstract line patterns are used to embrace movement, emotion, and expression—just like Ivy’s artwork. This pattern reflects the artistry that is core to the brand, while a premium, minimal design with high-quality materials ensures the packaging feels luxurious. Smooth matte finishes with selective gloss or foil detailing can elevate the tactile experience, communicating the brand’s high-end positioning.
