Context
Loads of Talent (LOT) is a youth-led creative organisation and CIC committed to building a supportive, family-like environment for the next generation of creatives. Through masterclasses, Q&As, showcases and live events, they bridge the gap between untapped talent and the wider creative industry. I supported LOT’s youth engagement efforts by creating a series of social media event flyers and reel-style adverts for key events; including improv acting sessions, dance workshops, and film industry masterclasses - helping to elevate their digital presence and drive sign-ups.
ART DIRECTION
The creative direction for Loads of Talent's promotional materials was inspired by editorial magazine aesthetics, aiming to convey a sense of sophistication and professionalism while remaining accessible to a youthful audience. The social media event flyers featured clean layouts, bold typography, and high-contrast imagery, reminiscent of contemporary magazine spreads. This approach provided a polished and cohesive visual identity across various events.
For the Instagram reel advertisements, I adopted a cinematic approach, crafting short, engaging videos that mirrored the style of movie trailers. These reels utilised dynamic transitions, compelling narratives, and suspenseful music to highlight the essence of each masterclass. By blending editorial design principles with cinematic storytelling, the promotional materials effectively captured attention and resonated with the target demographic.
